MANTRACKER - FLINT LUCAS EAST-MAN FEEDS NUTRITION CONSULTANT
![]()
MANTRACKER - This had to be one of the best times that I can remember. When I heard that Mantracker was going to film an episode in my area, I do remember thinking, who would be the guide, and how does a guy go about trying to get the position. It all started back when the production manager called saying that he had been referred by a friend that this area would be a great place to film a episode. There was quite a few phone calls and then about a month before, a guy from the film company came out and scouted the area, I guess that he was approving the location. Then 2 weeks before the filming started another guy came out and borrowed a quad, he went out and did the mapping of the race from start to finish. Then we started the filming, I picked out a horse that I had not had long and that I really wanted to get some riding on, and I picked one of my favorite ranch horses that we also use for the guests.
Terry Grant himself is a great guy, we had a lot of fun talking and visiting. He is really down to earth and is a cowboy through and through. I had so much fun doing the episode and I hope to get the chance to do another one. One question everyone does ask me is, with all the camera men around, do you not notice the prey easier? I have to admit, I never once saw a camera man before the prey, and at times I never did see the camera man. I don't know how they could do the chase in any more legitimate way than they do.
